About
All ages, all people, all art
Nashville's enduring all-ages DIY venue, mutual aid group, and community space. 501(c)(3) certified in 2023. Designed for the community by the community since 2015.
Drkmttr Collective was founded in 2015 in a small house on 3rd Ave S, with the goal of providing a safe space for youth, early-career artists, and marginalized voices. From its onset, Drkmttr has focused on affordability, access, and artist-led programming. Over the past decade, Drkmttr has survived multiple moves, financial instability, and the pressures against small venues, while continuing to offer an affordable, community-based alternative to increasingly commercialized live music spaces.
Today, we are recognized as one of Nashville's key independent venues and its longest-running DIY space, and we are extremely grateful to have become a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 2023. Through concerts, community events, and collaborative programming, Drkmttr continues to provide a space that champions diversity, mutual aid, and belonging. Consider donating or becoming a member of our GiveButter to help us continue providing a safe environment for the Greater Nashville community.
Our mission
Drkmttr is a radical space for connection, solidarity, and transformation through music and the arts. We're dedicated to dismantling systemic inequities while promoting artistic diversity, inclusivity, and accessibility. By uplifting underrepresented and marginalized artists, redistributing resources, and fostering mutual aid through inventive collaboration and community-building, we're building a creative ecosystem fueled by collective action. Whether empowering local artists, grassroots organizers, or dreamers of all ages, we're here to amplify voices, challenge hierarchies, and keep Nashville's cultural heartbeat thriving and unstoppable.
Accessibility & parking
The main room, restrooms, and co-work area are step-free. Street parking surrounds the venue with an accessible entrance off the side street. Need a specific accommodation? Ask us — we'll make it work.
