Heightened Scrutiny, the documentary that follows the first transgender attorney to argue in front of the Supreme Court, is centered around Chase Strangio’s fight for transgender adolescents’ access to gender-affirming healthcare. This case, which originated here in Tennessee, was a turning point for youth and adult access to gender affirming care across our country.

The film examines the relationship between mainstream media and legislative realities, and offers an analysis on how biased coverage impacts dangerous laws that upend transgender lives in the U.S. This film is not available anywhere online, and presently can only be viewed in Tennessee at special screenings like these.
