Resistance Theology: Shi'ism, Malcolm X, and Our Present Moment is a teach-in collaboration between our Nashville Muslim community and Black Alliance for Peace, followed by an art-build facilitated by local artists through Black Alliance for Peace. Organizations that supported the work are: Drkmttr Collective, Elmahaba Center, and We Do Politics.

This event is SUNDAY, JUNE 7, 2026 from 3:30-5:30 pm at drkmttr (1111 Dickerson Pike).

We will provide tea + water + samosas.

For the art build, we will also provide art supplies. You are welcome to bring your own art supplies for yourself or to share.

Please feel free to bring canned foods, books, seeds, hygiene supplies, and/or art supplies to donate to drkmttr as well. We care for each other.
